After announcing the addition of being able to post and schedule to Google+ pages a few weeks back, we’re super excited to bring you another one of the most popular feature requests to Buffer this week: Buffer for LinkedIn Company pages.

Next to Twitter, Facebook profiles, Facebook pages, LinkedIn groups, LinkedIn profiles, Google+ Pages and App.net this is now the 8th social network type you can in Buffer.

Especially as LinkedIn has become more and more content focused with @mentions, an amazing influencer blogging program and more, it’ll be exciting to see how Buffer might help to keep your stream flowing on your company page. Here is how easy it is to schedule Linkedin posts for your profile and now also company page:

How to setup your LinkedIn Company Page with Buffer

The first step is simple, just head to the “connect accounts” area inside Buffer and choose the LinkedIn company page:

schedule linkedin posts

After that, you’ll be guided through the authentication flow from LinkedIn, simply choose “allow” and then select the page (or group or profile), that you’d like to connect:

schedule linkedin posts

Then, you’re all set. Simply add great new content to your Buffer queue with the Buffer browser extension, iPhone app or from the Buffer Android app.

Anytime you hit the Buffer icon, just select the LinkedIn company page and schedule the post or share it right now:

Once added to your queue, it’ll sit there ready to go out at the optimal timing. You can of course choose any format for posting, including images, links, videos or simple status updates:

Start posting and get full analytics for each update posted

Of course, anything that you post to LinkedIn Buffer will track for you and show you much engagement you’ve received on each post. That includes, comments, likes, reach, reshares and clicks.

All you have to do is hit the “analytics” tab in your Buffer dashboard and you’re good to go:

    • http://colinscape.com/ Colin Ross

      Heya Gaëlle!

Do you have admin permissions for your Company Pages? We require that you have that level of permission to be able to post.

  • Michael de Groot

This for sure is my Christmas come early. This is just awesome, you also made my day, I jumped out of my chair and did a woop woop. I am soooo happy that this has come early. An amazing development. You have just catapulted yourself to ‘YOU ROCK’ status in my mind. Honesty, what you guys have done is fantastic. You’re the ‘Apple’ of social scheduling, clean, crisp, simple, easy, just works, it does what it says on the tin. Can you tell I’m pleased? Fabulous, keep delighting customers, you are doing a great job of doing that alright!

Wow! What a comment, this totally makes my day Michael and I’ll share your kind encouragement and excitement with the team too!

Thanks so much for being on board and hit us up any time if we can help out on anything! :)

This was great news in my email this morning! Thank you. I really appreciate Buffer! I find it much easier to use than any of the other social media posting options out there. Thanks!

    • LeoWid

Wow, that is so amazing to know Rebecca, really glad that Buffer makes your life easier! :)

  • http://www.smokymountainmarketing.com/ Tim

Great news! And on top of Google+ pages a few weeks ago. Buffer is simply a great app!

    • LeoWid

Thanks so much Tim, so glad you like the new update! :)

  • http://jesscorsoncle.wordpress.com/ Jessica Corson

    This is awesome! Great work.

    • LeoWid

So glad you like it Jessica! :)

  • http://iag.me/ Ian Anderson Gray

Wow, you guys have done it! Fantastic!
This really is great, and Buffer can totally be everyone’s social media management tool of choice. Before I had to use IFTTT and Hootsuite to post to LinkedIn company pages, but now I can do it all from Buffer!

I know people will keep on going on about G+ profiles, but we’ll just have to wait for Google to sort out their API. There is also Facebook Groups, but it looks like you might be working on that one.

My only issue now is that I have hit my profile limit. I think it is great that you have business plans, but I really do think you should give us Awesome plan people a couple of extra profiles now that you’ve added G+ and LinkedIn Company pages. I can’t afford to upgrade to business at this point in time (wish I could) but I really don’t want to have to remove some of my accounts.

  • Tim Mayneord

Awesome stuff guys – just keeps getting better!

  • Jessica Riddell

Awesome! A great app just keeps on getting better. I think the only way you could be more perfect is to buffer Pinterest next ;)

  • http://oacdesigns.com/ Oisin Conolly

sweeet, this app just keeps getting better and better! :D

    Hi Leo,
Awesome. However I thnk that with the new additions (Google+ pages and LinkedIn Company pages) you should really think to expand a little more the Awesome plan.
I have had to get rid posting on two LinkedIn groups in order to acommodate both G+ / LinkedIn company options.
Hope you can also feature G+ communities and profile pages soon.
I also can’t afford Business – being a personal blogger myself – but I’m happy to pay for this service, I even pay by year and not by month.
Hope you can figure out an option for those of us in the Awesome plan.
    Best

Hmm, I guess I’m not getting the LinkedIn Company pages. I already post to my page and LinkedIn groups. Seems like I remember not being able to add someone’s company to buffer before and added a different group instead. I guess I could have my own company page as well along with my regular LinkedIn page. No time to go through more LinkedIn training. Please give me some insight to the difference in company pages. Probably the same as Google+ and facebook brand pages. Just when I thought I was good by going over the 500 connections, I find out about company pages. So is this talking about broadcasting to my own company page or anyone’s company page?

Buffer just keeps getting better and better! Thanks guys, keep up the great work.

  • Sherbeam

I wanted to share this on Linkedin, but ironically there is no button for that… or have I missed it?

    • LeoWid

Good catch, just added there! :)

  • http://keepkalm.com/ Kyle Alm

Buffer keeps getting better and better. Impressed with the speed your team is adding these features. Keep up the good work!

  • http://warrenwhitlock.com/social-media-expert Warren Whitlock

Love it. Buffer is the best way to get real posts up. Love how I can tailor to put a version appropriate for pages or profiles or tweets from one place.

  • Angela Booth

Wow, that’s amazing, thank you! I’ve let LinkedIn languish, because I couldn’t find the time. I’m so pleased you’ve added the site, I’m with Michael de Groot, you’ve made my day. Big kudos to you. :-)

Google+ and now LinkedIn? Wow, keep up the great work! BufferApp > Hootsuite :)

  • http://www.geeknoob.com/ Kundan Bhardwaj

This is going to be very helpful for people like me who are unable to keep their linked profile up to date.

  • Marc Gouwerok

This application opens up many more opportunities to be on top of mind and to stay within your network and the secondary shell.
I can not wait to explore these opportunities and see how they can work for me.

  • IIHT Technologies

    Thanks for adding this feature!!!

  • Mig Bravo

Great addition. Unfortunately though, it’s not working for me. Bug?

    • LeoWid

Hi Mig, really sorry for the hassles there, could you let me know what the problem is you are seeing when trying to connect an account?

      • Mig Bravo

Hey Leo, thanks for the quick reply. I actually took my lunch break, came back, tried again, and now it connects to my company page.

  • Prex

    perfect Feature!

but I have quick question :)

how can I post it directly to my company linkedIn page after i press the buffer button.

I found out that it should be scheduled?

    or im missing something.

    thank you.

    your work are perfect!

    • Belle

      Hi Prex!

We definitely want to get this cleared up for you – could you send an email to hello@bufferapp.com so we can look into what’s going on and how we can help you share to your company’s LinkedIn page?

      Thanks!

I was pretty fired up when I found this blog, but I just gave it a shot and couldn’t schedule my post because of character limitations. I have to post our weekly training schedule to our company page on Monday afternoons and it’s way over the limit y’all have set. But I can post that many characters just fine from within LinkedIn. Is there any way y’all can expand the limitations? If I could schedule out every training for the next 7 weeks without having to think about it again, it would make my life!!

Thanks for all the awesome work you do! The Awesome Plan is WELL worth it!!

This sounds like a time saver. Great job guys!

  • Ryan Mendenhall

Sweet! Love it! Having a hard time getting it to authenticate and work, but I’m sure it’s just a conflict with my browser or something.

    • Guest

Hi there Ryan! So sorry about that! Can you try opening a “private” or “incognito” browsing window and try adding it there? Does that work any better or does it still give you that same error?

    • Mary Jantsch

Hey Ryan, so sorry about that! Can you try opening a “private” or “incognito” browsing window and try adding it there? Does that work any better or does it still give you that same error?

      • Ryan Mendenhall

Got it to work. Thanks Mary!
