Over 200 million Tweets are put out every day, together with over 4 billion items posted on Facebook.

One of the most important things for our work here at Buffer was always to help you share more efficiently and with higher impact on Twitter, Facebook and elsewhere.

So as of today, I’m super excited to share that we have added Digg Digg as a new core product to help you be more awesome on Social Media. This is a big step towards changing how we share content on Social Media

Digg Digg is one of the most popular sharing plugins for WordPress blogs with over 330,000 downloads to date. It adds a nice floating bar to your blog, just like you can see on the left here. It also gives you lots of other options to add sharing buttons to your site.

Download the plugin here: Digg Digg by Buffer

Get 7 times more Social Traffic through better sharing buttons

Adding a floating sharing bar with Digg Digg, just like Mashable does for example, can have a huge impact for any blog I found.

Some great research from BrightEdge showed that more visible sharing buttons, will increase the number of shares your posts get. This might seem quite obvious. At the same time, yet the real impact that can have is easily underestimated.

Sites with a Tweet button, will get 7 times more shares than sites without.

With DiggDigg, we want to help you as good as we can to get your site more exposure and traffic. Be sure to take it for a spin on your site and let me know your thoughts.

How to get started with Digg Digg

Getting setup with Digg Digg is super easy. Simply search your WordPress plugins for Digg Digg and it should come up as the top search result. You can also download the plugin right from the Digg Digg page.

Once you have installed it, it should add a floating sharing bar to your blog by default. It will look just like the one on the left hand side here:

Customize Digg Digg to fit your style

One of the best things about Digg Digg is that it is super customizable and you can tweak it to fit your blog. All without having to write any code of course. Here are a few of the most common customization options:

Add sharing buttons before your articles

You can head to “normal button display” in your Digg Digg settings and choose to add buttons before your articles. By choosing “left-float” or “right-float” you can pick the side very easily. Here is an example:

Add sharing buttons after your articles

Of course, you can also choose to have your sharing buttons shown after blogposts. Simply pick “after content” in the “normal button display” settings for this. It will look something like this:

Add small or big sharing buttons to your articles

You can also decide if you want your buttons be displayed as big sharing buttons or small ones. If you go to “normal buttons display” in your settings, you can pick “compact” for each of your buttons and it will change it to the smaller size. Here is an example:

Adding the Pinterest and Buffer button super easily

With the very first update of the Digg Digg plugin, it is also super easy for you to add the Pinterest button and the Buffer button to your blogposts.

We have made a bunch of other updates to the latest 5.0 version:

  • Adding the Pinterest and Buffer button
  • Major design update to make it look much cleaner
  • Fixed a major bug with the LinkedIn button
  • Buttons are activated by default if you install the plugin

Simply click on “enable” and they will show up for you wherever you want them to appear:

Here is also a guide for you on how to add the Pinterest Pin it button with images.

What is next for Digg Digg?

We have some cool further updates in the pipeline to make Digg Digg the best sharing plugin out there. Right now, we are working on making your dashboard inside settings super slick and easier to navigate. We have also planned to add more different button options for you real soon.

I bet you might have some great ideas too. What would you like to see next with Digg Digg? Let me know any ideas you have below, would love to hear your thoughts.

  • I do have a question here.
Atm i use AddThis instead of the default JS from Twitter, Facebook, G+ and everything else.

My layout is responsive, but sadly, those floating sharing bars aren’t. How does Digg Digg handle it?

    • Anonymous

Hi Julian, thanks for stopping by, I will be sure to check on that!

    • Julian, with a responsive layout you have to decide the width at which you would “lose” the floating bar. Typically this is the same as the width of iPad in Portrait mode (in the range of 768px). You can set this width into DiggDigg and thus gracefully hide the floating toolbar…while still allowing for the regular sharing links to appear inline with the content (above, below, etc.)

Check out this video we made to show our love…. for the new DiggDigg:

      • I ended up using the conditional tag “is_iphone”, that isn’t on WP Codex, but is around since WP 2.9.

Since i like to use AddThis for the stats, i make it load the inline buttons if the user uses a mobile agent (so, any mobile or any tablet), and floating if it’s a desktop.

  • Amazing news, congrats!

    • Anonymous

Thanks Ben, really appreciate the support, super psyched about the acquisition and what we can do next! 🙂

  • Pretty badass guys, on to more good news like this!

    • Anonymous

      thanks Stefanos! 🙂

  • Congratulations, Leo. One thing I’d like to see is a Comments button like I use on my site. It is custom code, but it displays the number of comments a post has received. I have found this to be a great way to add social authority and demonstrate engagement. Thanks.

    • Anonymous

Hi @mhyatt:disqus , that is a great point, it is certainly on our list to make the comments button a nice and easy option for others to add, I will let you know once the update for this goes live! 🙂

      • Leo… I second this!

And congrats on this progress… Awesome!

        • Anonymous

Awesome Craig, we are right on it! 🙂

          •  I’ll third this. I use the Disqus comment system, not sure if that makes creating the feature easier.

    • Pat

A comment button would be great idea…

    • I have seen your comments button Michael. In fact, I copied it. Are the tweet & FB buttons custom also or are you using Digg Digg for those also? Mine are all custom as well. The thing keeping me from using this plugin is that I feel strongly about having the comment button in the mix.

  • My favorite Twitter service just acquired my favorite WordPress plugin. Win!

    • Anonymous

Hi Tyler, thanks for the shout, that is fantastic to hear! 🙂

  • Simply amazing, Leo! I think it is an awesome move 🙂

    • Anonymous

Hi Jan, thanks for the kind shout and so glad you like it! 🙂

  • Am I reading this (and the WP forum comments) correctly? If we upgrade to the new 5.0 version will we be forced to include the Buffer button in the floating share bar?

    • Anonymous

Hi @JSDavis82:disqus , great to see you here. Oh right, that shouldn’t at all be the case. You can easily head to “settings” and turn any buttons on and off that you want to appear! Hope that helps, let me know if you have any questions! 🙂

      • Thanks for clarifying Leo. I’m reading on the Digg Digg WP Forum that, after upgrading, users’ sites are breaking completely, the pinterest button isn’t working, and that some strange coding errors are happening (like the opening paragraph tag being removed when the floaring share bar is enabled). I don’t see anyone responding to those WP forum issues, so I’m wondering if they’re isolated issues or if they’re widespread.

Thanks in advance for clarifying these issues with me. I’m holiding off upgrading to the new version until I know for sure that everything will be copasetic.  Can’t afford for any of my sites to be down. 😉

        • Anonymous

Hi @JSDavis82:disqus Thanks so much for this, we went over all the comments in the WP forums and there shouldn’t be any major issues at this point. Unfortunately, there can be some individual errors happening due to special themes. We are definitely working on getting any known issues sorted out asap.

Also just saw your comment on Mashable and replied too, thanks for your feedback!

          • Thanks @LeoWid:disqus . FYI, i left that comment on Mashable before I found this post and started commenting with you on it. I’ve left another comment back to you on the Mashable post.

Glad to have been able to point out the WP forum posts to you. Yall may wanna keep an eye on those as us long-term, old school WP users go to the forums FIRST when we have an issue. I’m sure the last thing you guys want is a lot of unanswered, unresolved issues piling up in the forums, ya know?

          • Anonymous

Hey @JSDavis82:disqus , you are absolutely right, I was so glad when you pointed out those WP forums, I had no idea they were there, thanks a bunch man!

For sure, I will be monitoring them long term, we definitely want to do our best and fix everything we can to make the plugin awesome for you and everyone else! 🙂

  • Smart move – It’s a perfect fit and surely there’s a sexy backend dataset in there somewhere.

  • Wow. It’s crazy seeing you guys just starting out as a company and now acquiring an awesome plugin like this. You guys have done such an amazing job!

Also, it’s cool that Digg Digg should have easier-to-read documentation now 🙂

  • Congratulations guys!! Amazing news!!

    • Anonymous

Hey Aaron, thanks for the kind shout! 🙂

  • Hi Leo! I guess this is not a support forum, but… may be you would be so kind and answer my question… I have a little problem with the Digg Digg – it doesnt reestore to its original position when scrolled down and then up again. Any idea what that could be?

Othere than that… Awesome move!!!! 🙂

    • Anonymous

Hi @twitter-11921772:disqus , great to hear from you and thanks for the heads up on this, I will definitely look into the scrolling issue and do my best to have it scroll normally again, please stay tuned! 🙂

  • Awesome, awesome, awesome news! I’ve been looking for a social bookmarking toolbar that includes Pinterest without having to add special code. I’m going to install this right away.

  • Any plans for a Drupal port of Digg Digg? That would be much appreciated!

    • Anonymous

Hi Marco, great to hear from you and that is a great suggestion, will look into this! 🙂

      •  +1 on this one. Thanks for the plugin, but this would (also) be really useful on Drupal 😉

      • Kate

        +1 for Drupal

      •  I’m very interested in a Drupal version.

      • Apptegic

We would love to use Digg Digg on our Drupal blog as well!

  • Anonymous

I would love to see this available as a standalone code so it can go on any website.

    • Anonymous

Great suggestion Andy, will look into this! 🙂

      • Also see if you can work with the guys at Posterous to get it available on there would be handy 🙂

  • Congrats Leo. I’m really amazed by everything you’re accomplishing and it’s all well deserved. It’s funny because a few days ago I was getting a 404 error with Buffer on some sites, and I didn’t finish reading those blogs until you guys were back up. THat’s how much you’ve conditioned me to using Buffer :). Hands down Buffer is the most useful twitter app I’ve come across.

    • Anonymous

Srini, you are the man, thanks so much for your support here! 🙂

  • Awesome news!  Does this also mean that the analytics of Buffer will capture activity from Digg Digg as well?

    • Anonymous

Hi Vijay, great to hear from you! Yes, absolutely, if you are using the Buffer button for your own Tweet, it will give you analytics too! 🙂

  • I love your Digg Digg plugin. I installed it on my Blog but I have some trouble to use your plugin. I wanna change the Floating left to right side. I edit the “Initial Position” CSS code float: left to right but it’s still showing on my left side on the Blog. That’s the problem. How can I change my Floating side on Left or Right? What should I need to do now? Please, reply me soon. It’s urgent. I am waiting for your response.

    Sumon Khan

    • Anonymous

      Hi Sumon,

great to hear from you. Could you just update to the latest version of the plugin and see if this is fixed. We pushed a lot of bug fixes in the last few days and I’d hope we caught some of the ones you mentioned there! 🙂

  • Please, reply me anyone.

    • George

yeah i already did it. 🙂

  • Really enjoyed tweeting about this news last week! Any links to troubleshooting information for people it doesn’t work for?

    • Anonymous

Hi Dave, great to hear from you. Yes, absolutely the best thing to do for troubleshooting is to drop a note to [email protected] or to check our feedback forum here: http://diggdigg.uservoice.com
We are working hard on getting all the kinks out at this point! 🙂

  • Hi Leo!

As a long-time Digg Digg user, I’m happy to hear that you’ve integrated it into your portfolio. The plugin still works great, with the exception of the Pinterest button. As some other folks have noted, when the button is clicked there aren’t any images to pin, so nothing can be shared. Because it isn’t operational, I disabled the button on my WordPress blog for the time being. I use the Thesis theme; perhaps it’s theme-related. It would be great if you guys could take a look. Thanks, and congratulations on all your progress!Pam

    • Anonymous

Hi @pamdyer:disqus so great to see you here. Oh right, yes, that is a great point. If you update to the latest version of the plugin here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/digg-digg/ that should be fixed.

I’ve also written a guide how to have the Pinterest button pull in an image of your posts here: http://blog.bufferapp.com/how-to-add-the-pinterest-pin-it-button-to-your-blog-and-let-people-pin-posts-with-pictures

Hope that is useful Pam, let me know how you get on and if I can help with any more questions! 🙂

      • Hi @LeoWid:disqus I still have Pinterest issue at one of my blogs.
Here http://ivancotado.es/blog Pinterest aren’t any images to pin, nothing can be shared.
Post have featured image, and Pinterest still not work great, even 5.1.2 version

        •  Pinterest can’t work on just featured images on  your main page. If you go to a post where there is an image like the 2nd blog post down pinterest does work just fine.

          • Hi @yourwebchick:disqus
Pinterest not work in a single post  neither 🙁

You can see at this: http://ivancotado.es/blog/diseno-de-interiores-interiorismo/interiorismo_comercial/la-iluminacion-comercial-esa-gran-desconocida/

      • Hi again Leo,

Thanks for getting back! I’m sorry to say that the
Pinterest button still doesn’t work, even after updating to the latest version. I’ve attached a screenshot of what happens when I click the button on this post: http://www.pamorama.net/2012/02/11/the-social-media-lifecycle-infographic/. Would you mind taking a look to see if you get the same result?

I’m using the Thesis theme, BTW.

  • Great app. As a Japanese, I want Hatena Bookmark to be added in the floating bar. It is the biggest social bookmark service in Japan. Also, I want Tumblr and Evernote Clip.

    • Anonymous

Hi Shoichi, great to see you here and awesome suggestion. We definitely want to look into adding these services in. Haven’t come across Hatena before, but it looks very promising. Stay tuned! 🙂

      • Thanks! I added to my WordPress blog and am really enjoying this app!!

        • Anonymous

          awesome! 🙂

  • Sarah Pohl

Please make this available for other services as well!

    • Anonymous

Hi Sarah, great to hear from you and absolutely, which other services would you like to have? 🙂

  • Hi there,

I just installed the Digg Digg plugin on my site, and I love the way it looks, but it breaks my javascript shopping cart! It prevents the cart from appearing when the add-to-cart button is clicked.

Have you heard about this happening? Is there anywhere you recommend I go to get help about this?

    • Anonymous

Hi Liat, great to hear from you and thanks for the kind words.

Oh right, we have just pushed an update to fix this problem. Could you upgrade to 5.1.1 and if all is working ok now?

  • Well done guys and thank you for making this plugin available. Off to give it a spin now! 🙂

    • Anonymous

Hi Adrian, awesome, that’s fantastic to hear. Let me know how you get on with it and if you have any questions for us! 🙂

  • Digg Digg Should use CSS Sprite for loading of images as Shareaholic Plugin does. If Digg Digg uses it, then I will definitely consider using it on my all blogs.

    • Anonymous

Hi Musthafa, great to see you here and thanks a lot for the heads up on this. Absolutely, will definitely see if we can implement this in a future update, keep your eyes peeled for it! 🙂

  • Dan

Looks like a great plugin, will be testing it out later. One thing that would be nice is to responsively switch from floating bar to static buttons above or below the post when the window is below a given width, like you can with the Sharebar plugin. I currently can’t see the floating bar on my mobile display.

    • Anonymous

Hi Dan, so great to hear you will be testing it out. Yes, that is a great point, making it responsive in that way would definitely help a great deal. I will try my best and see if we can add this in in the next update! 🙂

Let me know how it goes and if you run into any more questions or suggestions as you use it!

  • Loving he new version Leo!

It is certainly better than the earlier version of DiggDigg that I was using and congrats for coming up with it!

However, I do want to ask whether there is any way we can make all the buttons on the float bar the same size. For example, presently the Facebook like button and Pinterest buttons are not the same size as all the others. It would certainly make the float bar look better if that’s done too 🙂

Rest of the things are doing wonderfully well on my blog- thanks for sharing 🙂

    • Anonymous

      Hi Harleena,

Great to hear from you and thanks for the kind words, so glad you like the plugin.

Yes, that is a great point. So, the size of the FB like and Pinterest button is actually configured by the companies themselves and not by us. We will definitely work on alligning them better so it looks much nicer! I will keep you posted. 🙂

  • Awesome guys – well done definitely on the right track….from a visual perspective I know most of clients would want the ability to blend the background colours into similar colours used within the remainder of the website – disregard if this is already the case…haven’t dug down deep enough…i’ll surely be adding it to my blog to assess it further.

    • Anonymous

      Hi Jose,

Great to see you here and thanks for the kind words. That’s a great suggestion, offering further customization of the plugin is definitely on our list. Yes, there are some options to change the background color in the code already, but making it easier is a great point!

Sure thing, give it a go and let me know how it goes, always happy to help! 🙂

  • Anderson Curry

Congrats Leo, great Job and thank for the email response.

    • Anonymous

Hi Anderson, thanks for the kind words an no worries at all! 🙂

  • Hi Leo,
In the Spanish version of the floating toolbar, the icons are still coming out of the bar.
The aesthetics are not good, each icon has a different size and lacking focus.

  • Hello again @LeoWid:disqus, as you see I love the plugin and use it on several blogs and my comments aportantointend to continue improving.I propose a feature that is not yet in Digg Digg.
In the normal display I would like to include Digg Digg icons before and after the content, contained in both places. And that option does not exist at present.

    It would be great.

    • I would like to see this capability also.

  • This is great! Looking forward to use it also on my blogs!

    • Anonymous

Perfect Valerija, let me know how you get on and if you have any questions for me. 🙂

  • I hv used it, and it awesome.. the plugins that people must have it..

    • Anonymous

awesome, so glad to hear it! 🙂

  • Great share Leo. Yeah I’ve been using this plugin for a while now and it really is effective. Any other plugin you know of that is also worth trying? Thanks for sharing.

    • Anonymous

Awesome, so glad it is useful and even better you have already been using it! 🙂

Hmm, another great plugin to check out is W3 Total Cache, it makes your site a lot faster! 🙂

  • I would love for this feature to be available on WordPress.com. That’s where I host my blog!

  • This looks awesome. I’m going to go test it out right now. I use Genesis/Studiopress 🙂

    • Anonymous

Awesome, sure thing, let me know how you get on Chrissy! 🙂

  • Doug Lance

I added this plugin as soon as I got the Buffer email telling me about it. But when I looked at my site, the display was all messed up. It doesn’t display at all on my front page, and on individual posts, the bar floats too far to the left and doesn’t slide with the page.

I’ll be sticking with Sharebar until these problems are fixed.

    • Anonymous

Hi Doug, thanks for the heads up and really sorry for the problems there. Any chance you could send me a screenshot of how it looks for you?

Keen to get this fixed for you in the next update! 🙂

  • Pryoung

Looks like another great idea.   Thanks!

    • Anonymous

awesome, so glad it does! Let me know if you have any questions for us! 🙂

  • Have an animated “delayed slide” effect like the slick social sharing plugin, movement catches the eye and increases sharing conversion rate.

    • Anonymous

Hi Jonah, great to hear from you and thanks for the shout, that’s a wonderful suggestion, will definitely look into that! 🙂

  • Anonymous

I love the look & feel of this plugin, but as soon as I activated it, my “Dynamic Content Gallery” plugin stopped working. Once I disabled it, all else worked again. Have you heard of these conflicts and, if so, is there any easy fix?

  • This sounds pretty awesome. What about for those of us just getting tarted who maybe aren’t getting as much buzz as we’d like? I wouldn’t want to show off that I have 2 tweets and not much else.

    • Anonymous

Hi Celia, great to hear from you and that’s a great question. Actually, I wouldn’t worry too much about that, everyone gets started at some point, and the only way to grow those numbers is to have them there and allow people to share it! 🙂

  • I’m on wordpress.com, so I don’t think I can use the plugin.  Am I right?  Also, I’d love to see it for other platforms as well.

    • Anonymous

Hey Mark, great to hear from you it currently only works for wordpress.org. We definitely want to move to other platforms with it though for sure! 🙂

  • Just installed it on my blog http://ShivBlog.com

    It’s really very good plugin.

    • Anonymous

Awesome, that’s fantastic to hear! 🙂

  • Anonymous

Love this, is there a tweak to get it to show up at the top of my blog. It doesn’t show up until one scrolls down a bit.

    • Kent

I’m getting the same issue http://www.greenabode.co.uk/railcards/  I emailed Digg Digg and they said it was because of the existing social media buttons I have on the site (which I will get removed by my developer shortly).

Interested to know whether you have existing social buttons as well?

      • Anonymous

I do have social buttons, I will try removing them and see if that works, thanks for the tip.

        • Anonymous

Hi guys, thanks a lot for the heads up on this issue, we will be sure to see if we can get it fixed in the future update, so it always shows normally! 🙂

      • Anonymous

I removed the socail media buttons on my posts, and that changed nothing http://kentcox.com

        • OK. So that means that I will have the same problem. I’m not a developer or technical. I’m going to follow up with them on email and say that someone else is having the same problem and removing the existing buttons did not solve the problem.

          Thanks for letting me know.

Maybe you should email them as well?

  • Hi Leo

I’m in the process of getting the Digg Digg floating bar installed and my existing social buttons removed.I have a question for you regarding the Facebook XFBML Send button. I currently have the Facebook Like and Send button on my non-Digg Digg social buttons. If I ask my developer to remove all of the existing social code.. I’m concerned it will remove the XFBML element and the Send button will not work with Digg Digg..so…

When Digg Digg is installed..is it just a case of ticking the XFBML box in the Digg Digg > Global Configuration box that will enable the Send button to work? Or, is there an additional piece of code that I need from Facebook?

    Many thanks in advance.

  • Leo, I designed an informative Buffer slideshow on my blog that also mentions the Digg Digg plug-in: http://bit.ly/zMcbI1 What do you think?

    • Anonymous

Hi Mellissa, thanks so much for that, that’s an amazing slideshow, I will be sure to pass it on to other folks whenever they need a good guide for Buffer! 🙂

      •  Leo, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for passing it on!

  • It would be great if the Pinterest button was a bit bigger so it fit in with the others, not a big deal though.

I would really like to see a way to only display the Pinterest on certain posts. Perhaps the easiest way would be to set that button to only show on a specific catagory of post. Is that possible?

The ability to offer more than one image as an option to pin would be good too.

    • Anonymous

Hi Aaron, great to see you here and great suggestion. I will see if Pinterest might want to make their button a little bit bigger.

Oh right, so at the moment, it is not quite possible to set them only for individual posts, this would definitely be a great feature though, will put it on our list! 🙂

      • Hi Leo, thank you for your reply!

I was thinking the easiest way to do what I’m hoping for would be to have two sets of orders. This way one would be shown for all categories while another is shown only for specified categories. Hopefully I’ve explained that clearly. Now, I say “easy” but I honestly don’t know how easy it is to add that function.

  • Exciting!  Can’t wait to see how you guys improve Digg Digg.   It was kinda buggy before.

    • Anonymous

Hi Craig, great to see you here and that’s absolutely our goal, to make Digg Digg amazing and less sluggish. Let me know if you ever have any thoughts! 🙂

  • Finally, an intelligent social sharing plugin for responsive WordPress sites!

Our video review of DiggDigg here: http://labzip.com/finally-an-intelligent-social-sharing-plugin-for-responsive-wordpress-sites/

Keep up the great work with Buffer… 😉

Wow, thanks so much for the great post about Digg Digg, that is fantastic. Sure thing, will do everything to keep it up, let me know if you ever have any questions! 🙂

  • Dude, amazing plugin 🙂

    Thanks a ton

    • Anonymous

Hi Somesh, so great to hear from you and really glad you like it! 🙂

  • Anonymous

Great work guys! Installed it in a matter of minutes. Turned off my old plug-in. Now, ready for greater results with the greater visibility of the buttons.

  • Denysedd

Just installed this floating bar and it is awesome. It got rid of my individual icons that messed up the text on my blog on C3Centricity.
Thanks guys, you are incredibly generous.

  • Congratulations Leo & Co! I have been using DiggDigg on all my sites and blogs. Love even more now 🙂

How about adding some analytics to the back end so i can better understand the sharing info to optimize content. a share is not just a share. just like in PPC marketing. We should start understanding the quality metrics w/ analytics.

  • I’m liking what you’ve done with this, however, I’m not sure what other plug-ins I need to disable in order to use yours.  Is there a list available? Thanks!

  • Lary Crews

How about making it for Blogger?

  • extesy

This plugin conflicts with YooTheme’s widget kit. Whenever I activate DiggDigg, widgetkit just stops working, so I had to use other sharing solution instead. Guys, please fix it so that I can come back to DiggDigg.

  • the floating buttons are great

  • Hi guys. Just installed this (www.sheridanvoysey.com) and it works great. Two questions/coments:

    1) Aesthetically, it would be nice if all the buttons and counters in the floating bar were the same size/width. Any reason why this isn’t the case?
    2) Your floating bar on this page always stays visible. Mine disapears below. How can I change this?

    Hello all friends,

I need a help from you, if you people can do. I want to add FBShare, Stumbleupon buttons in the digg digg floating bar widget. Please i am not good in coding So, if you can provide me full code then I will be glad friends. Thanks

  • I have problems with the Twitter button on the floating bar. The button is not vertical, you can see a look at any article of http://www.todoblogger.com

Please, say me how I can solve this problem 😉

Sorry for my bad english, I am from Uruguay. And thanks for all, this plugin is amazing, I am trying to improve my blog on the social networks, and this may be can help me, jaja.

  • I was able to get Digg Digg working perfectly in FireFox but it wouldn’t show on any other browser.  I deactivated a number of plugins and found the culprit was the w3total cache plugin.  Now it’s working fine in all browsers.

I would love to be able to turn it on for some pages but exclude others. Is this an option for the future?

  • A client on Windows 2000 using Firefox 3.0.19 can’t get any page/post using digg digg to load.  I sent him to multiple WordPress sites.  If I disable the plugin he’s fine.

  • I have a blogger blog. Right now I believe I would have to manually place a Buffer button on each post which would be a big hassle. Is there any quick way of doing this?

  • nice article bro, but how about compatibility with older browsers like IE6-7 for example?

  • Shifna

  • Any progress on having certain buttons only appear on certain posts? Perhaps through using a specific keyword or something. This would be very useful for Pinterest.

  • S. P. Singh

Its a very nice information to get traffic through digg.com

  • Jen R Newton

Not sure where to find support for this so I’ll try here. When I use the floating bar with W3 Total Cache activated, it doesn’t show to visitors. When I am logged in and view my blog, I see the floating bar. When I am logged out, I see nothing. I’m not sure how to resolve, I’ve gone to the normal display for now.

    • Jen R Newton

       Can anyone help?

  • Using ShareThis on my blog at http://josschuurmans.com – Would try Digg Digg only if there’s an option of small buttons, no counts…?

  • Any way to integrate this to blogger plateform? I am huge fan of bufferapp.com…

  • newbeee

  • Hoodvideotubedotcom

I tried to add functional sharing buttons to my site also http://www.hoodvideotube.com But under the post the twitter sharing button never functions properly!

  • Jay

Will Digg Digg have a “share” button soon? I’ve seen buttons that just have the text “share” in orange with a drop down menu with lots of other social media options to share through.

  • Janice

I love this plugin…but recently, the PINIT button keeps covering my G+ button. How do I fix this??? pls help!

    • carokopp

Hi Janice! Hmm, that’s not good at all! Do you mind sending along the link to your page where this is happening, and/or a screenshot of this? Would love to see if we can get to the bottom of it. 🙂 Thanks!

  • Mohamed Shimran

  • Hi there! I have the same problem as Janice (6 months ago) with the Pin It button covering the previous button. Was this ever resolved?
